About Me

Hi, I'm Mallory. I've lived in the Ozarks region of Missouri most of my life. I've worked at Missouri S&T in the Residential Life department since 2015. My job is to uphold S&T's housing policy and verify students exempting from the campus housing requirement meet the stipulations. I've met international students not required to live on campus who struggle to find a rental. These students would sign leases for rentals based on the photos and videos seen on a property manager's website, but these images were not up-to-date. My husband is an Indian immigrant. He experienced similar issues when moving to the US. I want international and out-of-state students to be confident in making a big move. I want people to come to America and feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. There's already enough to worry about when making such a huge life change! I love doing pottery and ink art, and I sell my work through my Etsy shop and showcase my work on my TikTok accounts. I have fluent proficiency in English, novice proficiency in Japanese and Korean, and my Hindi speaking and reading skill is at a B1 threshold. I can read and write in English, non-Kanji (Hiragana/Katakana) Japanese, Korean, and Hindi.

For $130: Explore 3 rental properties.

Video walkthrough of every room and the outside of the property.
Photos of every room and the outside of the property, detailing damage for your move-in report.
Check for cracks and evidence of water damage.
Turning on the heat/AC to make sure it is working.
Checking vents for airflow.
Checking lights and outlets for functionality.
Testing the garbage disposal.
Checking supplied appliances for functionality.
Testing garage door.
Checking plumbing for leaks.
Running the shower/bath, sinks, and flushing toilets to test functionality.
Running the cold and hot water to make sure it is active.
Checking carpet and other flooring for wear and tear.
Checking for evidence of rodents and insects.
Checking door locks, window locks, and seals.
Assistance with selecting a property, understanding the lease agreement, and scheduling key pick-up.

Additional properties are $35 each.

When moving into your rental, take pictures of everything for additional record. Place work orders for anything that is broken with the property management company immediately. Complete your move-in sheet and return it to the property manager.
